Blitzsafe IPOD adapter new version works....
So i've had alot of back and forth with Blitzsafe about their IPOD adapter for the 2005.
The first unit i got didn't work at all....a few weeks later they sent me a new IC, and that worked for 1/2 a day.
They finally sent me a new unit, with a new model number, and so far it works...yay.
So this is your most basic version of any ipod adapter...the only thing displayed on the HU is CDC and the steering controls don't affect the ipod at all. All the unit does is play music and charge the ipod.
Version number is HON/MLINK1 V.2X for anyone that is interested.
The whole unit fits in behind the HU, and i ran the wire out by the passengers left knee panel.

I was looking for this or a similar solution back in Oct/Nov when I found out that the one from Blitzsafe didn't work (probably from you).
Unfortunately (for Blitzsafe I guess), in the mean time, I've just about convinced myself on an '06 Alpine HU (w/ iPod wire), a modifry DCI, and shortly thereafter, new speakers.
Although, if I can get my hands on the Blitzsafe adapter quickly and for the originally expected $80, I might still consider it.
Either way, still good to know.
Did you happen to get any info on from Blitzsafe on cost or when it would be expected to reach retailers?
