For those wanting to jump start or experiment, this is the website I ordered a lot of the LED's from:

http://www.autolumination.com/

I honestly don't recall which ones I ordered right now, but they are a direct replacement LED's for the ones in our dash. For the audio / temperature controls on each side I just ordered the direct replacement LED's in blue. Now, these LED's come with a base that just screw into the PCB's. However, some of the Honda ones hold the LED farther away from the PCB, thus making it brighter in the car. So some modification needs to be done to some of the LED's to make them sit farther away from the PCB. Oh, and not all the LED's will be direct replacements. For example, the heater/ac lights that show you how high you have the heat/cooling turned up are directly soldered in. You will have to solder in new LED's for this. I order separate LED's from www.lsdiodes.com who apparently have now closed shop...

For in dash, like the tach and speedo part, I replaced the interior bulbs with direct screw in replacement LED's. These I ordered in white and got the ones that had multiple LED's per single slot. The goal was to make it as bright as possible behind the cluster. Then I took out the clear piece with the red/yellow coloring on it and found a blue filter from a acting supply store. I replaced the red/yellow plastic with the blue filter (has a special name, forgot it right now). The problem with this, is it creates light spots and dark spots and I'm not happy with it. It's also hard to see some of the darker spots with glasses on in direct sunlight. I have an idea to fix this that I'm going to try next but don't want to talk about it right now...

This is just a quick write up to those that keep asking me about it and may want to start working on it. When I get done and have time, I'll spell out exact model numbers of lights I used / quantity / etc...

LED = Light Emitting Diode
PCB = Printed Circuit Board

Awsome TraviS2000 thanks man!

Personaly im not too concern with the current leds from the A/C, fan speed, indicators ect. i don't mind them in green, all i want to change is everything that glows amber now on the dash and the actual cluster ofcourse...
eventhough now thinking about it... im not sure how blue and green might look like

yeah whenever you can just tell us the bulb part numbers and quatites thanks again

I completed mine after gathering some info and perfectioning it for a few months. Had to try different materials, etc but the end result is perfect. The display is bright, day and night and the dim controls are still usable. Also, the colors can be customized in any way/any area of the LCD. A lot of fabrication had to be done. Here are some of the things I had to do to complete the project:

Custom etched and cut circuit board. Machine drilled.
100 white flux LEDs mounted and soldered manually. (4 pin).
Custom cut OEM dash cluster housing (To fit led circuit board panel).
Cut to size white plastic duffuser.
Cut to size paper thin color gels (To customize color and areas of the LCD)

I have an AP1 and therefor only experience doing it for this dash.
I can make one for anyone for $600. At the moment for AP1 only.
Here are some pics:

The pics are kinda crappy but the dash colors are pure and crisp and it is amazing to see it in person. I find myself looking more at it while im driving than I used to before. I also replaced the incandecent instrument control bulbs with blue LEDs. I'll take better pics and repost.
