Oh, I wasn't upset or anything. Just after reading it I thought I might need to clear it up a little. Not everyone follows PS3 stuff (I'm a game nut so I've been following it for a long time).

I thought Blu-Ray was backed by the major motion picture studios, and HD-DVD was cheaper and done or pushed by the chinese(correct me if I'm wrong). I hope I don't have to buy both.

Both have major studio support. My money is on HD DVD for a few reasons, not the least is that I hate Sony's business practices.

Blue ray supports 1080P, and HD-DVD doesn't. Blue Ray has more storage for long term consideration. Blue ray does cost more initially, but will go down in time.

My official vote is for Blue Ray. I'm gonna buy a ps3 anyways, so I can't wait till I get my hands on it.

HD-DVD does support 1080p.

I've read many places that HD-DVD is only good for 1080i. I could be wrong, but here's a link of one good source:
