Default Cable routing, who what where when why?

OK, I know I need to keep the power and speaker wires separate. However, I am wondering about the interconnects. When I route the wires do I need to keep all three (power, speaker, and interconnects.) separate? I am planning a new HU, Amp, Door and rear speakers. I also want to put bigger speaker wires in. I am planning to put the amp in the spare tire.

So I will need to run power from the battery to the amp. I was thinking passenger side door sill for this, as it would be the shortest run.

I also need to run speaker wires from the amp to the doors. I was thinking either the center console or the driver's side sill.

The real question then is can I run the interconnects with the speakers? If so, then I would think the center console would be the way to go for both. Otherwise it's the interconnects up the middle and the speakers down the left side.

Any suggestions on this one?

Sounds well planned to me. I just removed a system over the weekend for a local S owner that I installed. It was insatlled exactly as you have planned it. He commented as we were removing it that this was the first aftemarket system he has had that had no addition noise (Engine, Alt, etc..)

Sweet, thanks guys. This is my first install beyond an RF CD changer. I do have some help, but I want to make sure I know all I can before I start.

It looks like everything will be here sometime this week. (Waiting on speakers.) I will do pics and a writeup when I am done. (Hopefully it won't take more than two days.)

I may get flamed on this one but I seriously dought that there will be any real interaction running speaker wires, interconnects and power wires together. I admit that I haven't done many automobile installatons but feel confident in my statement.

If you want to seperate your speaker wires and interconnects, run your speaker wires down one side of the center console and the interconnects down the other side. I don't think you'll have any troubles anyway, but if nothing esle you won't have one big bulge in the center console if they're more spread out!
