Default Calling all 2004 Alpine owners and ipodders

Im going to upgrade soon so I can play my 40gig in my car, but have a question....

I looked at the KCA ipod adapter, and it only has Ai-Net out, an no IN. I have my changer and dont want to lose it. Do the 2004 headunits have dual Ai-net inputs? I cant find a pic of the rear of the headunit, so any info you can share is helpful. Thanks junkies.

I think to keep both, you would need one of these.

Yeah but you need to buy another adapter buddy sorry bro. You can get an Ipod FM interface but there not as clear.
Otherwise you can get an expansion module to build off of.

Wait....something is not right here. Ive been reading the 2004 manuals, and they sound like they have dual inputs (cd changer and ipod).....can someone find or take a pic of the 2004+ headunit rear....

I will be really pissed if they screwed me into buying that adapter.

you have to no matter what buy the ainet splitter the kca410c i get customers that run in to this all the time. same goes if you want to do xm and ipod at the same time. now if you were to do sirius it has a spare plug so you can do that and the ipod. if i was you i would ditch the changer and use the mp3/wma feature.

Damn....is the sound quality off the ipod with the KCA to the hu as good as a CD in the headunit?

This might not be worth doing afterall.
