Nice! Thanks for posting up... umm... I'll call you Mr. Installer... since I don't know your real name

I understand what your saying and it makes sence to me now The AEM EMS deletes the immobilizer in the car. Once the stock ECU is removed and exchanged with the EMS it removes having to deal with it. Not sure if that could be the issue since the RS is looking for it and the car no longer has it. You can install the RS in John's car as if its a car that never had it.

Alrighty.

We are still having issues. The ignition immobilizer box was removed, and all wiring was double-checked. The installer (Jason) said that the blue/white wire on the left hand side (starter wire) is getting 12v constant power, so the starter is seeing power (apparently).

He did say that the car is remote start NO PROBLEM if the key is in the ignition, turned to the ON position. If the key is in the ignition in the OFF, or any other position, it will not remote start.

Any input? Jason said that he was using both starter wires in the install... is this correct? I did not even know there were 2 starter wires...

Could someone please tell me what wires go to what for the remote start application? Could it be in the EMS?

Thanks!

I think I remember reading somewhere that turbo timers do not like running off the EMS due to the way it handles/distributes power when not "ON." Could this have something to do with it?

Key symptom- Remote start works perfectly if key in ignition, turned to ON position (just like before you press the button). If the key is out of the ignition, or in the ignition but in OFF position or ACC positions, remote start will not work.

Thanks!

not using: black/white and orange.

using: ACC to white/red, IGN1 to BLK/YLW, IGN2 to BLK/RED.

Is the third ignition the blk/white?

StealthSux-you might be getting a PM from my installer (Jason).

Thanks

The installer now has the Honda Repair manual (with all wiring schematics) for the car. He is going to be using that instead of the directech manual...

Stealth_Sux - If you would please verify the wires for remote start next time you are @ work, that would be awesome. The car will be down until this is sorted out, so just post whenever you can.

Thanks again!

I have a Compustar remote start in my car and my installer had a few bumps but eventually got it working... it might be worth checking their online manuals just in case some of the wires were identified incorrectly in the DEI manual.

Thanks for the input guys!

It is fixed now. The mysterious 3rd starter/ignition wire was the culprit. Orange one. Same as the other ignition wires, but not "recommended" in DEI manual. Once it was hooked up, fired up first time.

Cheers!

Special thanks to Stealth_SUX... your post broke the case!
