Thumbs up Can someone tell what this is ?

I got my speaker install over the weekend at a install shop and I found this inside my speaker box when they gave it back to me. It said Honda "protector front door". Do I need this in my door ? And what the hell it is ?

It is just a stiffener piece (as far as I know). I would suggest putting them back on and putting your x-over in them. Then you have a sort of umbrella for them if any water comes in the door.

On other model hondas it houses the side impact air bag. It works really well as a crossover protector.

Everyone here is right. I would put them back in the door if the crossovers will fit in them.

The crossover too big and won't fit in there. Thanks. for the info. I guess this is one of those "extra pieces" that you find when u install something.

its a brace for the door incase you kick it or something
it provides some rigidity for the panel

Mine are out too. They got in the way of my sound deadening... Besides, my crossovers are in the trunk.
