Don't See How that would work on a six speed. Start the Car while its left in gear and it will leave without you

They said as long as the car is left in neutral with the ebrake when shut off it will work. I just want to see if anyone has purchased a good alarm system. I was looking at the Ungo SR6000.

last i remember..its illegal to have starter on manual.(EVERY human will 'forget' at some point something like leaving car in neutral..which would lead to possible disaster accident)

anyway,i Do think though couple years ago a company(??) did come out with manual-starter program.(either it Didnt start,Or didnt let u physicaly leave in neutral..one or the other.).I remember someone was getting it installed I think
I mean,if its winter time,the S shouldnt be driven anyway,,but if its just cold..ehhh,,whats a couple mins to let it warm up.(smoke a butt,its ready to go)lol

I have a Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5 alarm w/ remote start. Very reliable system. If you do leave the car in gear or you do not have the e-brake engaged, it will not start. All the people I know who have had this alarm installed have not been disappointed.

And yup, it's very useful for those cold mornings. start your car while you're eating breakfast, and when you're done you're good to go

Does it use the stock E-brake switch or do you have to install a new one? The stock switch doesn't tell you if the brake is ON, it tells you if the brake is OFF. To know the brake is ON you'd need a new switch mechanism.

Also, I'm guessing that this system will not start if you depress the clutch after shutting off the car. So if you happen to step on the clutch pedal you'll have to re-start the car in order for the remote start to work. And make sure the gear shift is never moved once you shut it down, that would be nasty.

Remote start is nice, mine gets used mostly in the winter too.
