Default CD Player Problem

Any thoughts on my problem with the CD player? I hv an '08 with original radio/cd player.
When I insert a CD it reads "loading" and after 5 secs it spits out the CD. I've tried using diff CDs to no avail.
Thanks for any help!

I'm assuming the display does not show "CODE" and the radio still plays so fuses are intact. You could try removing the radio/CD player unit, take off covers and try cleaning the lens on the laser assembly or looking for something that has entered the mechanism. If that doesn't work, the CD player mechanism or electronics have failed and you should replace the radio. The OEM radio is really shitty and is not worth trying to get repaired (even in the unlikely event that you could find someone to do so). A new aftermarket unit is not expensive and would be FAR better than the original.

Consider yourself lucky the CD ejected. My daughter's CD player in her Isuzu Rodeo/Honda Passport swallowed a "important" CD and refused to release it until convinced with a hammer. Picked up an identical unit off Ebay for it which is probably the best source for you as well. Google the part number from the sticker on the back and see what turns up. After removing and attempting to clean it. Aftermarket radios need a kit for the dash controls to work.

Best use I found for the CD player in my S2000 is for the
holder for my iPhone. holder for my iPhone.
(Lots of versions.)

I used to have to do this several times a week for customers. We told them we could get th disc out but usually not save the radio. The worst were the crappy Ford and gm in dash changer units. No saving the radio if they wanted those cds back.
