Default cell phone interfering with the radio?

When ever I'm making or receiving a call, if my handset is too close to the stock radio (03), I get this buzzing noise through the speakers. I'm using cingular service and Ericsson T39m phone. Have anyone else had this issue? Is it a grounding problem?

I have a nextel and it makes noises through all my speakers. Even my computer speakers. My brother and parents have the same problem, so i assume it happens with a lot of cell phone. Hope its nothing bad.

Nextel is notorious for having this issue. I've never seen/heard with a Sony-Ericsson though.

Know anyone else with a different phone to see if you get the same result?

It doesn't matter. The buzzing actually sounds off a brief moment BEFORE my cell phone would ring...So sometimes it's actually helpful!

Just wanted to make sure my interference isn't an anomoly.

The noise comes from the cell phone periodically talking to the local cell towers, particularly when an incoming call is made...my Nokia on AT&T would buzz my computer speakers a bit at my old job.

every cell phone is like this, if you have speakers around, wheter it is at home, in the car, whatever, you will always that static like noise coming through the speakers. It cannot be avoided, it is just a simple interference. you should try haveing the cell phone near the computer, the screen statrts to get lines through it, but all of these noises go away when you end the call.

Same thing with GSM Nokia 6200 on AT&T. I found that mving the phone to the change holder reduces the noise to a minimum, but annoyinlgy the noise stays even when the stereo is "off" (but I am running an external amp).
