Default Check out this headrest speaker kit...

Hello:

I'm looking to upgrade the speakers in my 2004 S2000, and to add aftermarket speakers in the headrest. I did a search online and it seems that the s-pods are very well regarded on this site. My only hesitation is the price for the kit...

I came across a similar kit on ebay. The seller has a great feedback score, and I'm curious if anyone has purchased from this seller? The product seems to be fairly priced as well. Below is the link.

Its not hard t make but if you don't wanna spend 3 hours fabricating that up then go ahead and buy it. I have those and they are such an improvement. I can actually HEAR the music.

I have that same set. I bought it on Ebay. Looked a little on the cheap side when I got it but it works great and looks good in the car. Its been in the car for 2 years with no problems.

I have them and they work fine. Easy to install. The only issue I have with them is that the fabric that covers the speakers is starting to fade a little. I've had them about 10 months. But I'm sure I can find something else from a fabric store that would work.
I would recommend putting the speaker grills on the speakers when you mount them and then put the fabric over the grills. I did. I have leaned up against them a couple of times and if the grills had not been on the speakers I'm sure I would have punched holes in them.

I would recommend them.

I'll give you an idea that will help the sound. I covered the inside of the backs with Dynamat. Then cut a piece of thick foam and put it inside the roll hoop before I put in the front side with the speakers. It made an amazing difference.

if you haven't bought the speakers for the fronts, then I'd say forget about the S-pods and spend the money on the front speakers and amp.

however, if you don't plan to spend much and listen to mainstream music most of the time, then that is a different situation.
