Default Clock on gauge keeps resetting to 1:00 on startup

Hey guys I was wondering why my clock keeps resetting on start up of vehicle. I just purchased the car used and it does have an aftermarket stereo which maintains correct time.

Lastly I noticed the gas meter taking about 15-30 minutes to realize it has a full tank of gas after filling up. Any ideas?

Thanks!

The installer must have connected the contant 12V of the cluster to ignition voltage. When the key is out of the ignition, the interior trunk light should be on when the trunk is open. If not, this confirms that the circuit connected to under hood fuse #54 (yellow wire) was tampered with incorrectly. This yellow wire feeds constant 12V to the gauge cluster to preserve the time on the gauge cluster, as well as the radio settings (save channels).

Since the radio is aftermarket, I suspect the white/blue wire connected to under dash fuse #22 migth be the wire at fault.

Check to make sure other electrical items are working without the ignition key (ceiling light, keyless entry, license plate light, etc). Let us know!

Okay I checked and confirmed that the interior truck light, interior roof lights, all accessory lights (including license plate light), and keyless entry are indeed working without the key in the ignition.

Sorry im not quite understanding when you are referring to #54 and #22. Are the fuses numbered? I didn't see anything relating to those numbers. I am a bit of a electrical noob. Can you please explain further. Thanks for the help
