with all this said - I just wanted to say that I am getting the Compustar w/ remote starter installed next week! been ordered for 3 weeks already.

Away from all the negative bashing against pager alarms going on in the thread!

the top of the Line Compustar Alarm is still the BEST on the Market!
No Competition - and sorry to say most of the bashing is coming from those
who don't have an alarm or are too ignorant to admit they can't afford one!

let the bashing continue.........

I'll be curious to see how they work with the remote starter. Let us know what method they choose to defeat the stock immobilizer.

It's been too friggin' cold around here to do any work...I had to install Bass' alarm in 12 hours straight while using a buddy's heated garage 80 miles away. My fingers don't work too well unless the temp is about 60F and above. I wish I was closer to Georgia...I think we could quickly figure the whole shebang out and put together a quick package to allow people to get remote starts working on our car without the need the for a key in the dash or disabling the stock immobilizer.

My sister was looking to get a remote start installed in her CR-V (also with Immobalizer.) Circuit City was selling a box that (I believe) disabled the immobalizer when you triggered the remote start, but did not disable it all the time. If you guys are stuggling with the remote start option, you might want to make a call to the Circuit City roadshop dept and talk to an installer there.
