I've been reading about the kit to connect the nano to the factory HU, but I was wondering the following.

My S has an Alpine 6 Disk connected to the stock unit, it is connected in the trunk with an 8pin alpine specific adaptor. They sell an 8pin to RCA cable on ebay for like 15 bucks.

Would this be able to connect to an Ipod connector that would utilize the connection I already have?

Depends on how you intend to use the iPod in your S. If you're going to control playback via the iPod itself, yes. If you want to control via the head unit, no.
