Cruise Control Light

Over the weekend I went to use the cruise control and it did work but the light didn't switch on, whats the best to go about this?

which light? the light on the button or the light on the cluster?

the button light works on the steering wheel but the dash board one doesn't, i recently got my stereo done and prior to that it was working.
