Custom Laser Jammer & Radar Detector Install
Hit a countermeasures site (use resources appropriate for the topic) and find a group performing testing in your area. Keep in mind that the operator can make a massive difference in the effectiveness of testing.
You'll want to know if you have any weak spots and whether or not tweaking your mounting locations reduces or eliminates them. A bad install can make even the LI fairly useless.
Try using one and you'll quickly see why. Alternately, there are Youtube videos shot through the gun that you can also look at to get an idea. The ones I'm familiar with need a bit of stability for a good lock. Consider basic geometry and how much tighter the beam is versus radar. A small change in angle at the device can mean a big difference in where the device is aiming -- especially as the distance to the target increases.

you should be able to test the laser jammer in the first 30 seconds that you turn it on. the jammer goes through a 30second "testing" phase where if you point a tv remote at it and hit one of the buttons it should detect the infrared laser, which cops use. I have a blinder jammer myself and thats how that one operates. i have mine mounted on the grill. it is supposed to be level with the ground and completely straight (i have to fix mine too)
We used a leveler when installing them. They are on there nicely and are perpendicular to the road.
Here's a couple shots of the modified circuit board for the radar detector
The Laser Interceptor is amazing, hasn't failed me once in the past two years and I have been doing some high speeds on i75 when they targeted me. Nothing like an angry on the officers face look as I drive past!

anyone know if these laser jammers can detect and jam red light and or speed cameras?
Laser jammers will not work for detection/jamming since speed cameras work on radar and red light cameras work based on road sensors/timers.
"How does the speed camera work?
The technology we are using is based upon LASER technology. The imaging system creates a three dimensional representation of each vehicle on the roadway and tracks that vehicle for an extended period of time. At the end of the tracking period, the system determines the average speed of the vehicle during the tracking period. The system monitors traffic going away from the mobile system and takes photographs of the rear of the vehicle. When the vehicle is traveling 12 MPH or greater over the posted speed limit, two separate photographs are taken to show the progression of the vehicle. A vehicle identifier box is embedded in the image at the time the photograph is taken. "
Everything is finally together!
Still going to have to work out some kinks though.
Here is what the mute button and laser jamming on/off switch look like.
The mute button works, but for some reason the LED warning light is not going off for the radar when it detects a signal. We might have screwed up the wiring upon re-installation. I'll post more pics when it's daytime.
There is also now officially a "shit load" of wires up underneath the dash/steering column. The alarm, radar detector, laser jammer wires, laser jammer module, modifry wires, and all the AEM stuff..
