i thought of doing this myself but i thought the closeness of tweeters would be too bright and the distance away from the woofer would affect the stage imaging.
others have done this before and i would like your impression. but for now, my tweets are near the door handle.

 

I have my Q's mounted a lot lower on the A-pillar. I think that may be too far away.

 

Install looks clean. I do think they are a bit high up though. That location puts them closer to the respective listener which creates more side bias. Granted that's one of the main issues with the S2K. I was planing on putting the new Focal tweets as low as possible in the A-Pillar, I would basically modify the defrost vent to allow more room in that area.

The other factor to consider with this location is crossover point. The lower the tweet plays, the smoother transition between the mid and the tweet. Frequencies tend to be less directional as they reduce in cycle.

My dieal setup would be to use the Focal Audiom tweet in the a-pillar and cross that thing over as close to 2K HZ as possible.

Now that I think about it, has anyone seen/heard a kick panel install in a S2K?
