Default Darkside Sub enclosure vs Ebay enclosure?

Hey guys this is the first time im putting a sound system into a car, I have a 10" Polk audio Sub Dxi-104 and need an enclosure to put it in. Im torn between the Darkside enclosure(200$) and the Ebay enclosure(72$) which fits right into the trunk well, is it worth 125$ more to buy the Darkside enclosure? or should I just save the money and go with the Ebay one. From reading the specs it seems the Darkside enclosure has .25 ft more air space(.75 vs 1) and I would guess its built better vs ebay one. But is 125$ better? I dont mind paying for the better enclosure but if its not necessary then ill save the money for something else.

-Thanks

I purchased an ebay enclosure. The fit and finish is excellent. I didn't need to re-seal it either as it was constructed very well. The carpet matches almost 100%. Gets a ton of compliments.

The only thing I don't really like is the amount of trunk space it takes and the vulnerability to things bouncing around in the trunk. I need to get a sub grill on it.

I've had both, and would buy a darkside sub box over an ebay trunkwell box any day of the week! (Except Mondays... I hate Mondays.)

I have the V2 enclosure and love it to death.

I have a set of the V1's in the 8" version (one for each side)
They are well worth the $$ I paid, and I would get the same things again
if needed.

I am not a big fan of Ebay items. You are taking a chance on the
quality of them. I am sure that has been said before, some people
get lucky. But I was impressed with the reputation of Darkside, and
I was able to talk to him on the phone, which gave me a bit more
comfort when making a deal.

Good Luck, what ever you choose !!!

Later !!!

Honestly, just pay the money and get the Darkside. I remember when I was buying all the parts for my install, I baulked a little bit at all the money I was paying for an enclosure. But now, every time I open my trunk, I know it was the right move. They honestly look like they are OEM installs, I have no complaints.

EDIT: This is a 10, by the way. One of the reasons I was attracted to the darkside, because I didn't have to sacrifice the center of my trunk.
