i have a

2002 GPW/RED

i wanna cut my dash for a kenwood "in dash"lolol double din NAV/DVD unit..

in dash, literally..

anywho.. my friends shop said no problem their doing the entire system and he said.. no prob.. BUT

should i go for:

fiberglass peice, painted GPW?

Leather wrapped RED?

Leather Wrapped Black (like arm rest thing)?

fiberglasses black?

rough black like console trim

im personally in between fiberglassed White... or... leather wrapped black..
idk..

what do you think

Are you putting this in where the stock HU would go?? If you are, did they look behind there?? As in pull the stock HU out and actually look to see how much crap is back there?

 

oh and regardless I think wrapped in red leather(vinyl) to match the dash would look best.

 

Nah.. i though he meant CUTTING THE DASH.... in which case.. if your dash is black.. then keep the mould black too... just my opinion

im actually deciding towards the oem silver from the gauge "section"



sortof like that (i chopped that.. but the silver would be lighter to match the silver around A/c controls/etc

There's no room at all except for a single DIN unit in the stock space. I've been back there plenty of times. A HON-AUX adaptor barely fits back there with the stock radio.
