pioneer has a 7 inch flip out touch screen deck that can play cd's, dvd's, and whatever. it says it will fit an s2000 and im sure it will but when the screen comes out do you think it will hit the shifter. our dash boards are also sloped and i dont think that it could open properly. does anyone have anything like this in their car. ill see if its returnable so i can test fit it. oh yeah, in the pic it the deck seems to stick out a little, i dont think the radio door will be able to close.

 

DVD player and S2000....does not compute.

 

the reason is says it will fit is because it's a single DIN unit and the s2000 has a single DIN stereo. They don't know about the rest of the fitment.

I can't even imagine putting a screen down there. To watch it you would have your eyes so far off the road it would be scary....

 

i wont be watching it, just a more flashy way to listen to music.

 

Think how far it would have to come out to clear the dash, Then see where your hands are when the car is in gear 1,3 and 5

do you want your hand to slip off your shift knob and mess up the screen?

 

The flip out does not fit the S2000. There's no room for them to flip out to.

You need a single din in the lines of the JVC NX5000 or KD-ADV38 for in-dash DVD. Supposedly, the newer avx77 is slightly too long to clear the radio door.

Otherwise, you could do the Navi bezel cut out with a seperate lcd.

 

Yeah, S2Ks suck cause they designed it without thinking about where you'd put a TV. You should buy an odyssey, it's got way more room for a TV. you could even sit in the back and put a 60" hanging from the ceiling. the seats are more comfortable too.

 

A flipout DVD screen will not work in the OEM radio spot. You can either do the JDM bezel route or join the dash cutting club (search for it, there's extensive content). When I had my S, I had a single din flipout DVD screen cut into my dash and loved it.

 

just cut one into the dask; jdm style.
