Hello guys, I'm running a new HU with AXXESS and the mute button is known not to work. However everything else works properly. I have new speakers set up to an amp. How can I run the remote wire from the amp to the mute button? Do I need relays of any sorts?

Here's a thread on using a relay to connect the dash mute button to the headunit's Tel/Mute input
if supprted by the headunit. It would be possible to do something similar with the amp, but would
work less well as you would be physically powering on and off the amp.

EDIT:
I should add that the concept is the same, but the wiring is not exactly the same - for the tel/mute
the relay is being used to ground a wire from the headunit, while for the amp the relay would be
used to cut the connection between the headunit's remote wire and the amp.
