I just bought three sets of their High End RCA's and the quality is oustanding, and the price was also great. Highly recommend!

good find on that HU.
outside of possible issues w/ the radio door, it's supposed to be an excellent HU. there are some pics and vids of that HU around page 3 (if you're viewing 50 posts / page) on the Installs sticky thread.

I have been shopping the Alpine CDA-9833 for a while. Best price I was seeing was gray market on ebay, for @ $345 shipped buy-it-now - and morons bidding on non buy-it-now auctions were paying MORE. I was also interested in the CDA9835, but that was looking for more like $495 shipped on ebay and I just couldn't see spending $150 more for the better screen and i-personalize.

Then I Froogled it, and on the 4th page of stuff I came across this one place that was pretty cheap. They claim to be an authorized Alpine dealer, and the price didn't come up until I added it to my cart so it may be true - $305, $14 shipped to the West Coast, $319 total - MUCH cheaper than I could find it anyplace else.

I checked them on usenet and they had nothing but good reviews, so yesterday I placed an order for the 9833. Then I checked the 9835 - and it was $385 -- for a mere $80 more I was all over it. I called them and cancelled my first order (which was reflected in their order status screen), then resubmitted one for for the 9835 - and shipping was now only $13, $398 total, shipped to my door. This is $100+ less than I have been able to find it anyplace else.

Today, the very next day, I got a UPS shipping notice, and UPS says there is actually a package on its way to me, and it has gone through a few scans already. I'll feel fully confident when I have the thing in my hands, because this is all way too cheap, but so far they are acting like a real company. I almost think the price is a mistake, as the rest of the stuff they have looks like it is priced on the low end of normal, not dirt cheap like this. I mean heck, their CDA-7998 is $544, much more than the crutchfield $399 deal, so it has to be a mistake right?

I have no ties or affiliation with this company, but I thought if anyone was in the market, they may want to check them out before they fix the price. When I get it next Thursday (if UPS is accurate) I'll let everyone know how it worked out.
