I'm sure it will for music at least. The unit is quite good, unlike Dension's customer support...

It plain sucks.

Here's a rough timeline of my dealings with them:
Feb 2006 - buy the unit
April 2006 - send email to support reporting a few minor bugs
Mid April - Dension emailed and said to call regarding a unit swap
April-May - played phone tag - never getting anyone but voicemail. No callbacks from Dension either.
Late May - Gave up on calling
September - Dension totally died and no longer works
Late September - called and actually got someone. Said to email for an RMA
October - after a couple email exchanges, they still won't give me a damn RMA or address to send it to.
December - Asked again for an RMA
Now - nothing but silence from Dension.

Oh yeah, and my warranty expires in a few weeks.

just did the install on my car, i will post pictures later this week. Jst wondering if dension has a firmware upgrade for the 5G video ipod. Everything seems so small, such as the lettering. i've looked on dension.com but have not found anything. Can someone help me out? is it possible to upgrade?

The iPod does not use it's internal fonts when in "serial mode". The Dension is actually generating the screen as an image and sending it to the iPod. This limits the size to something smaller than the normal iPod display.

So this cannot be fixed beyond what it does already.

How do you initiate the cd changer mode from the radio unit so it picks up the dension ice link?
