Default !!??did U Have A Custom Sub Enclosure??!!

Well there are many options out there that i have been considering...JL Stealthbox was perfect until someone told me how much it would cost me...and well i dont think i would want to pay that much money for just a sub and enclosure....so then later Lucids sub enclosure came out...they were a decent price i guess....i wouldn't really know...but cheaper than the JL and i am sure it would bounce just as much....but that setup i wouldn't have enough room...and well i know you could just remove it but i am too lazy for that....

So my question to you guys are....have you gone to a shop or something and had a custom enclosure made?? How much would they go for....(setup would be where the Stealthbox would be, probably just one 10")

Thanks

must it be fiberglass? how concerned are you with adding 20 lbs to your car? if you are not concerned with that you can easily fabricate a custom enclosure for the tool area. I have a kicker 10 in my custom enclosure. I made for about 20 bucks plus the sub...and it really sounds great. and looks nearly perfect IMO

If you take your car to a shop expect it to be a couple days for casting a custom sub. JLs make a very nice bundle, the 10" ones I have are offset for a top mounted amp and empty (no sub).

The Polk/momo enclosures have been very impressive if you like the look. 12" sizes are held back due to production problems right now

I am actually in the process of making my own custom sub box for the trunk. Its not that hard to do, and that way you get major points for building it all yourself. Plus is costs like $40
I'd be happy to share me knowlege if anyone is interested.

Yeah i really like the polk that you provide but i am just not sure....it takes up too much room...atleast that's what it looks like the in pictures.....i give you props though...it's beautiful....

JL i think is the perfect setup....do you think a car audio shop could make an enclosure like the stealthbox for me?? around how much would they go for...?? What kind of different material could they use and the benefits, and cost??

f20, you should just have them install the JL model if thats what you want. If they cast a fiberglass model it will take more time/labor. Unless of course you're getting MORE done.

Talk to Cody at Speaker City (W. 4th Ave. and Fir St.) They were the ones who did my custom sub, and I know they did another one where they stashed it in the convertible top tub/well.

Mention that Richard with the black S2K referred you to get the best deal!

Hope this helps!!
