Different style of a Flip Up LCD DVD
Ok I don't know how to explain it so I drew a picture in paint.

Red dots represent where the hinge point for the screen is.
The first set of drawings shows how most motorized LCD DVD players I have seen open. We all know those won't work in our S's because of the vents and how far back the HU sits in the dash.
I was just @ best buy and they had a kenwood that opened differently (see above pic). Like all the rest I have seen you could change the amount of tilt the screen had, but also on this one you could control how far back into the unit it would go after it had lifted the screen to where it goes. SO you can leave it sticking all the way out if you wanted to!
Now I don't know if this will work or not. Could still hit the vents, could stick out too far and hit the shifter....
I thought I would ask on here and see if anyone has tried it (or one like it) yet.

Take some measurements Nate. If they have it on display at Best Buy, that should be pretty easy to do.
Thanks!
