Default Dim Gas Display?

About two days ago I just realized my gas gauge is really dim, I've tried to lower the lighting using the (-) and then using the (+) to make it brighter but it seems as if the LED or Bulb is dying out? The rest of the cluster is still bright orange and looks as if nothings wrong... has anyone else had this problem or know what it could be?

It may be a dead or dying bulb. There's a excellent writeup on bulb replacement here:

I read that bad gas will cause the gas gauge to be dim. Did you accidentally fill it up with lower octane gas?
