DIY: Apex'i Auto Timer Install
Since many people have been asking how to install their turbo timers, I decided to put up a DIY thread. I haven't added the e-brake function yet, and will post photos of that as soon as I am done.

The ignition harness is the brown one, next to the fuses, right of the ECU.

My wires were: Red for 12V Constant, Green for Ignition, and Blue for Accesory. You don't need that long of a wire for those if you're mounting it the same way I did. White is for Primary O2 Sensor, Black is for Ground, and Gray is for E-brake sensor.

I was going to stick it somewhere, but instead I ended up zip tying it to the wiring by the little hook on the box. Now, pull off the yellow electrical tape around the wires, cut and then pull back the black tube encasing all the wires. I didn't have a wire crimp big enough for this wire, so I just trimmed it very carefully. Only lost a couple of strands. Made that up with the solder

12V constant and Accessory were easy. I just wrapped the wire around and soldered. For the Ignition, however, I had to wrap the green wire around the first ignition wire, solder that, and then wrap it around the second one, and solder it again. Wrap electrical tape around all of the wounds, and plug it back in.

For the Primary O2 sensor wire, pull out the blue harness at the very right of the ECU. Look for a white wire, number 16. There are really small numbers printed at every corner of the harness.

A soldering iron will work better for the next few thinner wires. Again, use electrical tape when you're done.

I just connected the ground to one of the few black wires going up to a grounding point. this one was right above the hood latch. Crimp, wrap, solder, and tape. Pretty easy by now huh?

Mounted it here. It's in my view so I don't have to take my eyes off the road for long. Just use a strip of 3M mounting double sided tape, stick it on the flat part on the bottom of the timer, and then trim off the rest with a pair of scissors.

My understanding was that inside the ignition switch the two black/yellow wires are connected together. Therefore you only need to connect one of them. Also helms states that Accessory is white/red not black/red how you have it, but again they connect in the ignition switch so maybe that's why it works? Want to experiment for me?
wow very much so its all startin to make sense
i was tryin 2 install it yesterday and i was lost
maybe cause it was like 15 degrees outside also lol
i tried to figure it out but couldnt got out my honda manual also
i need pictures and hell yea this will help
ill let you know if it works lol
u used a soderin iron for the ignition cable also right? sounded like u didnt.
i was also readin the wiring diagram didnt it say " black ground not needed if o2 sensor is connected"?
and yes i lifted the center concole it a green wire that runs to the e-brake.
