Do you have a motorized faceplate ?
I installed a Kenwood KDC 716S and love it, but one problem: it has the DMASK+ motorized faceplate which is a great feature, but unfortunately it does not have enough clearance with the stereo console door closed. Of course I didn't think of this prior to ordering. Just wondering if anyone else has this feature, what have you done to accomodate, and can it be turned off?
Thanks

Well it's certainly unique.
I like it a lot. Unfortunately, I am going to have to downgrade and get the 516S with the non motorized face. It's too aggravating to worry about not opening the door in time and ruining the motor in the DMASK+.

Hey I'm getting one of those HU's that have the angle feature, is that what you're talking about when you say motor? If not, what is it?

You seem to have a bit of a hang up about Kenny HU's! I've had 3 different units in the past few years and had no problems with any of them.
I have the best model they make PS series - with a piano black finish - and the motorised face was very, very slick in my last car. The problem i'm having is avoiding the stereo door in s2000.
You shouldn't be so harsh
