Default Does the 508D proximity sensor work upside down?

I'm thinking of putting a proximity sensor inside the glove compartment (right next to the trunk release button), instead of in front of the secret compartment. With that, I'm thinking of putting the sensor upside down so I can still tune it after mounting it.

Has anyone tried this?

Thanks.

Have not tried it, but it would probably work OK.

All you can do is give it a try.

Was hoping to see if anyone has done it before (I'm not sure if the radar field is in all directions, or just the top part of the "dome"). Cuz I didn't wanna drill a hole and find out it doesn't work. I guess I can always use tape to test it or use velcro to mount it in the right direction ...

Thanks anyways!

I woudl doubt it, since the instructions say to mount it on a metal surface with the wire facing either the front or back of the car.
