Default DVD Navigation

Has anyone tried to retro fit JDM navigation system for the s2000. I had an idea of probably trying to buy one and swap the dvd with a N.American dvd that's used in other honda/acura cars. Is this possible???

I have no idea but that sounds like a very ambitious project. But have you considered just buying a portable unit like a Garmin that you could take to your next vehicle as well?

check the electronics forum. i think someone fitted a 7 inch bezel into the s2000's dash, but i dont know if they put in the oem honda navigation system in it.
also check with the vendors. i saw a group buy for the JDM navigation bezel for s2000. they were saying that with a little heat gun and massaging of the dash you could get it to fit and angle towards you.
i've been looking into this myself for a while now, i find lots of people saying that it won't fit and it's tilted a bit to the passenger side since its originally a JDM bezel. i believe the moderator for the electronics forums tried to mount the JDM bezel onto a USDM dash and he said he just wasted a perfectly good dash doing it... look into it yourself, i wanna know if you find better answers than the ones i got

If you pay that much labor to mod for get it fit, why don't you just pay the good Nav.sys and custom your own? Those JDM parts for right hand driver, they don't fit perfect

I think about that too when I got my '06, I want to be OEM JDM look but the problem is the LCD screen angle isn't right for the left hand driver.

That's just my opinion Here's mine screen, you can see the angle is towards right between the driver and passenger.

i wanted the oem nav too, but with the nuvi being around 350 bucks, you would be stupid to go any other way. unless u got money to burn.

The stock OEM navi bezel does not fit properly and needs to be reworked... which is a total waste of time because you can custom build a bezel in less time than it takes to try and fix the JDM one. Just have one custom made for it.
