Default Dynalining The Interior

Hey guys,

I want to put down a layer of Dynaliner under all of the carpet in the cabin (I already Dynamatted the trunk).

I searched but I couldn't find anything. Are there any good threads/websites showing how to get the entire interior out of the car?

The seats are easy (just 4 bolts I assume), but what about all of the trim, the center cupholders, the glovebox, the trim on the sides of the car, etc.... Any help would be great, thanks!

taking the glovebox section out is no picnic...its really hard work.

And another thing...dynamat in the inside will add nothing but weight to your car, the trunk and doors are enough.

Which is exactly why I'm going to use Dynaliner .... the liner stuff only weighs .08 lbs./sq. ft. I can't imagine it's going to take more than 20 sq. ft. to cover the interior which would roughly be 1.5 lbs. I've got no problems adding that much weight.

For reference, Dynamat Xtreme weighs .45 lb. / sq. ft.

Check out my soundproofing kit in the group buy forum. What you are using won't make much of a difference, I'm afraid.

Can you explain why it won't make much of a difference?

I realize there will still be noise through the rag top, but that can't be helped. As long as I dynamat the doors and the trunk, that should take care of vibrations. The dynaliner along the bottom is supposed to just cut out road noise.

If this really won't work, I won't do it, but I'd like to know why your kit will work and this won't.
