Default Dynamat

Any of you fellas used Dynamat to get rid of rattle noise inside the trunk?
I've got a custom Kicker sub in the trunk and I can hear this annoying rattle when the top is up. The rattle is not that bad when the top is down.

Bro.....take my word for it.....just take care of the license plate and the trunk locking mechanism, and your car DOES NOT NEED dynamat. I dont have any, and my car is tight like a tiger. The s2000 is real tight, and dynamat will just add useless weight.....just my .02

you also might want to look at the rear deck that the top sits in...

historically, that's a prime target for vibration from subs...

PJK3,
Any tips on how to get rid of the rattle from the well? I've been tossing a couple of ideas around, but haven't had time to really look at the well to see what's feasible.

most of what i saw in the past referred to pulling out the well and adding double sided tape or foam backed tape (think weather stripping) to specific joint areas...

let me search up some threads if i can.... here a few threads that came up pretty easily.

here's a good thread that covers the issue

here's a thread w/ a similiar issue and solution

here's a good one as well -- covers your issue as well

The plastic panels on top of the gas tank that the top rest on- at least in my car- rattle with the top up. I was going to pull it apart and dynamat the panels but it was too much of a pita.

that would be the soft top well...

you shouldn't need to dynamat it, you just need to tighten up the fit of the pieces.

Thanks. The wife is out of town this weekend, so I'll have plenty of time to give it a shot.

no problem. some of it might also be accessible by going through the trunk. God knows, working on anything in that car behind the seats w/ the top up is a pain in the neck...
