Default Dynamat Questions

I'm thinking about having my local audio shop line my trunk and the inside of my doors with Dynamat. I'm looking to kill some of the road noise/exhaust noise coming from the trunk area and to better insulate my sub. I want to do the doors to aid with my components and I've always been a fan of a solid feel when closing the door. Any other parts of the car I should consider?

Will Dynamat give me what I'm looking for? The manager of this local audio shop is an old friend of mine and cuts me everything just above his cost, so it won't be too expensive.

I was also looking at the sound dampening option being sold in the Vendor Center right now, but is the less than $100 I might spend on a Dynamat install and short downtime vs. $500 and long downtime (more than a day) worth it? I've never put Dynamat in any of my cars before aside from just a little around a speaker to stop vibrations.

Poindexter, have you read the Quiet Coat threads? I think the stuff is a lot like the E-Dead liquid from Elemental Designs but not the ugly ass blue color. It dries to a charcoal like color from the pics I've seen.

Dynamat works awesome! I have lined the trunk with it and I have no rattles to speak of.

I've been watching all those threads, and decided that I don't want to mess with that stuff. Thanks for the suggestion though

I knew you were the Dynamat King DK - I may have to become one too

I have to agree. I have my trunk and door's covered in Dynomat and it works really well I have only one rattle, the licence plate. That's the ONLY place I didn't put the stuff!
