ecu wiring into kitcar
hi guys, not sure if this is the right part to post, but im struggling to find the info i need.
Im putting an s2000 engine in a kit car and will be starting the conversion next week, i have tge ecu, key, column and all the looms apart from the dash loom and clocks, and obviously the obd test port
Im told i dont need tge bit that i havent got, so what do i need to do to either the ecu or the pins on the ecu where the dash loom would plug into?
Its the obd2 ecu?
Any help, diagrams or vey simple instructions would be greatly received :-)
Thanks all

in the looms that youve got, you should find the 3rd plug that goes into the ecu... the engine loom takes up 2 of the plugs, but the 3rd plug connects to all the other looms like dash, front left engine bay, front right, and rear of car...
you will need this plug as it plays many parts in running the engine-unless you use another ecu and custom wiring harness.
the plug should be grey (im pretty sure) and its the smallest of the plugs in the ecu (again im pretty sure)...
look through your looms and see if its there. the good thing about the honda looms is theres no 2 plugs the same.
as long as youve got that plug you can make up the rest of the wiring yourself(should you need it).
if you havent got the plug, then either a) I cant help you as youre out of my territory and Im not electrically minded enough to help you, as I didnt do it like that, or b) you'll probably need a custom wiring harness, and you may aswell go the emerald route then anyway...
have a look for the plug and let me know.

I am currently trying to put a s2000 engine into a bmw 2002. I have got the ecu, and the plugs you mentioned. Would you able to let me know what to do next. I have got the electronics schematic but it is the wrong year so whilst many wires are the same many are not. Did you use a universal fuse relay box or did you run the standards s2000 fuse/relay box?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers,
Aaron
