Default EK fog light install

so i tackled the Ek fog install today. the lights are mounted and everything looks good so far. now for the wiring. im looking to get them wired to turn on when the car is turned on regardless of if my running lights or head lights are on, but i cant find anything to piggyback onto.

anyone have experience or any advice on how i could quickly get this done. its 10:30 and my bumper is still off my car lol banghead.gif

thanks in advance

wire straight into your ignition harness to your accessory wire, so when you turn your key the lights will turn on and stay on regardless.

It is a White wire with Red stripe under your steering wheel in the ignition harness.

Also, I do not think that is legal in all states... I believe (at least in FL) that fog lights cannot be independently operated once the main headlights were off (aka - just fogs, or fogs + running lights). I was looking into this with my old Mazda Protege5, as it had the lights with an independent switch stock, but the switch only operated ON/OFF when the headlights were on...

My explorer sport is equiped with factory fog lights. It has an independent button to turn them on or off. If I turn on my parking/marker lights, the fog lights will come on. If I turn the knob one more click to turn on my headlights, the fog lights stay on. If I kick on my brights, the fog lights turn off.

In KS, fog lights count as "brights" so you're not supposed to use them in town when there is no fog.
