I got the ELM wi-fi adapter to use with Engine Link on my iPhone and it works very well. The app is very responsive to instantaneous changes like RPM and stuff.

Fyi. We don't have an oil temperature sensor

That's disappointing... That's one of the vitals I was really hoping to get.

Don't think those bluetooth devices work with iphones.
You're correct, the Engine Link app specifically says it needs an ELM compatible WiFi adapter to work.
Shoot, sorry fellas. I just got home and had a look at the ODBII adapter--it only transmits via BT (no WiFI). I also tried to get a demo version of Engine Link for testing on the fiancée's iPad, but they only offer the full version. Hopefully you will see a smaller delay with a WiFi signal than this!

* apologies for the blurry video; my smartphone was tied up running torque so I had to use an old camera.

Hey there i noticed that there is a delay of the actual rpm vs the display is this a normal thing to see on products like that ?

I noticed a slight delay appears to be normal for ODBII adapters connected via Bluetooth, and tried to illustrate that in the video. I don't know if this is normal for all BT adapters or just on my test setup. If you look for videos where people are connected via a WiFi adapter, the delay appears to be near non-existent.
