Default Experience with Flip Ups

I'm looking at options to add GPS to my S2k. I notice Alpine, Kenwood, and Pioneer all have receivers/head units with flip up monitor options.

My "dream system" would have the flip up monitor, gps, ipod input, and sirius radio [which Alpine can do.]

I'm not interested in cutting into the dash for stealth reasons.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience?

yup the above is true, flip up screens do not work in an S2000, you have to install a screen in the dash. Are you doing your own design and installation?

This may look familiar....Mine and Mikey's (Mikes2K) were done at the same place. The Eclipse H/U has been replaced by an Alpine...Ummm I forget the model#

Mine isnt as bling blingy as mikey or screamer, but I didnt want to cut up the dash, and have it all...

(Something mikey and screamer cant do )

Also, this entire setup costs less than just the flip-up headunit alone, let alone the navigation that youll need to buy.

Good luck!

personally i think having the screen molded into the dash looks 10x cleaner than having a monitor on a stalk. Here's my contribution to the indash(literally) screen setup:
