Fiberglass box progress
Body fill goes on tonight, then sanding this weekend and maybe even paint if I am lucky. I am painting it GPW (paint from Sherwin Williams Automotive). This will be my first time painting so wish me luck! If the paint turns out nice, I will be painting some of the interior trim GPW also (some of it is scratched). Thanks to ICIXsound.com for hosting

a little pointer for you if you ever do any other boxes in the future. If you have access to a router, you may want to put a rabbet edge on the outer ring you have there for the sub.
in the picture with the enclosure inside the garage with the resin beside it...notice how around the edges at the top the fiberglass is messy and drooped all over. instead of having to now spend the time to clean all that up, you take your rabbet edge and staple whatever fabric used to form the shape to it and when applying the resin/mat, you build up to the top of the rabbeted edge and the top stays clean and perfect with no mess.
in case you dont know what a rabbet edge is, its basically putting a notch around the entire circumference of the piece, or any piece that has any type of fabric attached to it for shape forming. Just keeps everything neat and clean and saves time.

Thanks for the tip though

I just wanted it thick and extra strong. I am going to cut the droopage off, its easy to do anyhow, and it leaves me with a crazy strong mount.
My last box I didnt rabbett and after some serious pounding the ring started loosening and cracking the paint, hence the overkill here.
