Default Fitting two 12"s into trunk

I have two 12" JBLs with a box but it is way too big for the S. Is it possible to get a smaller box and fit both in? Also, will the stock deck work with the amp + subs?

Good luck fitting 2 12" subs in there. You will pretty much have to get a custom box made, and that will most likely take up most of the trunk. As far as the amps, you CAN run them off the stock HU, but the signal will not be as good, because you will have to use an in-line converter from the speaker signal wire to the RCA's. Not very good for SQ.

You could put them in another vehicle, sell them, maybe intall 1 of them in the tool well. How much volume does one of those 12" JBLs require?

A few years ago I built a custom box to hold 2 10" MTX subs. As you can see from the picture, adding 2 12" subs will be tight, but can be done.

I ended up pulling one of the subs, because it was way to "thumpy" for the small cabin.

You can do it, but you are gonna have to get creative and maybe use fiberglass..

2 12's can be installed, but there is no way you'll be able to get enough box volume if you use just the trunk tool well.

A tool well box, wood construction would at most get you .8-.9 cu/ft, fiberglass 1.1-1.2 cu/ft.

A single 12 in a sealed box needs .7-1.0 cu/ft.......

LIke everyone has said, you can do it but it'll require fiberglass and will take up more than just your tool well. For comparison, here's the box i did for two momo 10's. I don't remember exactly what the volume was off the top of my head but it was within the specs for those subs. You'll obviously need more volume for two 12's.
