How long will a plasma tv last now without diminished quality? IF an LCD last forever at the same quality and after a few years plasma deteriorates, wouldnt lcd be the better purchase. Also, once a plasma tv's quality goes south, can you ever get it back to normal?

I was thinking about buying a 42~46" flat panel tv this weekend. It looks like some of you have found some great deals. Where have you all bought yours from? I'm thinking an LCD because my fam room is full of big picture windowns and tons of glare.
Thanks

I was able to snag a Samsung 5265FX 1080p LCD prior to Christmas for 1999 online with free shipping. No doubt they are cheaper by now.
