Default Front speakers and audio questions

I bought my car used, the PO had a set up on the car already. I'm not sure what stock ones have but this is what mine came with: Pioneer HU, 2 tweeters on the doors (I think they broke...not sure), no sound from the front speakers (just found out that was the reason why my audio sounded weird), 2 tweeters- 1 on each side behind the rollhoops/seats, 1 small sub on each side near the bottom behind each seat, and a large Infinity subwoofer and Infinity amp in the trunk.

I have an 02 btw.

My question is, would I need to wire new front speakers to the amp? (complete noob)
and also if the speakers they sell at Fry's work?

The car currently sounds okay bass wise but the bad quality of sound is very noticeable when using an MP3 player with a high quality file. When the sound is turned up (not like all the way but for highway driving), it sounds slightly earsplitting and not clean and crisp like my friend's 03 Civic (better) OEM speakers.
Update: I finally found out the setup (majority) on my car. I have Pioneer HU, Infinity component door speakers, *unknown* subs or speakers behind the seats (may be component speakers? dont seem to work) and 2 tweeters- 1 on each side of rollhoops, infinity 4 way amp, infinity subwoofer.

I took it to a shop and they told me the amp is only hooked up to the subwoofer. they told me the amp is a 1 way(?) amp and I would need to get a 4 way or swap the current for a 5 way. After researching the amp, it turned out to be a 4 way(they were wrong). Would I still need to switch to a 5 way or buy a 4 way for the front component speakers? or would the current 4 way be enough to hook up to the door component speakers and the subwoofer?

Thanks

Probably need to look into how it was wired. If you are not getting sound from the door speakers, then they are not wired or busted (although even busted you should hear something). You will have to wire the new front speakers to the amp, but if it was done right, then hopefully you just have to hook up the new speakers to the existing cables. Don't know without more details. I'm sure some of the veterans here can answer better.

You can do it on your own...might take some extra time to learn it, but its doable.

Ok after testing the sound and listening to each speaker, I found out my front speakers aren't broken but they are just really quiet. ( the so called ''audio specialist'' who said they were broken was apparently wrong..) Is that how stock is supposed to be? The rear tweeters are a lot stronger (but still sound bad) than the front speakers + tweeters. If I move the fad towards to front theres more sound there but the overall sound quality just goes bad. I'm not sure how to determine the problem and how I could get a better sound quality.

No telling what you've got or how it's hooked up. Where do you live?

Hey man, do you know if you have crossovers? It's shaped like a box and usually the tweeters and speakers are connected to it...I don't know too much about audio but i know very little...maybe enough to get by. We can talk more about it at TD meet if you go this friday.
