You should be able to tap into the ECU harness and get the feed from there for the RPM's and right next to that is the fuse panel where you can get direct power. I'm not sure what wire though I would have to research it.

the RPM feed is taken directly from the power source. It signals the pulses.

But I would think that you would have a much better signal coming off the ECU but if you want a cleaner signal you should tap the power leads near the fuse box under the dash.

Just run it through the torso vents, into the hunit canal, make a left over the knee area, sharp turn down, and youll end up at the fuse terminals, plug it into acc.

I have an idea of placing a female jack somewhere on the rim behind the radio door

I will need to do a male to male cable too.

any other help with regards to the variable resistor issue ?

I would tap the power wire directly into the alternator. This would get you a dirty signal that the G-tech needs. I wouldnt want a loaded power system, it's taking away HP.
