Good Sound System?

Good Sound System?
I am thinking about installing this sub (Kenwood KFC-W3012 12’’ sub) and this amp (Alpine MRP-M500 500 watt amp) in my brother in laws s2k because i get them extremely cheap. Any one heard these 2 together? Or does anyone even think they will go good together? A lot of bass isn't my style but that's what my brother in law wants

Well, I'm sure the combo will present some bass.
The question, rather, should be what the quality of that bass will be. I'm going to go with "slap happy bass"...but I have pretty high standards for the stereo equipment I run

How cheap? Becuase if it's cheap enough, to him it will probably sound great for the money. Will it sound great? No. That's why it's cheap.
But if all he wants is some loud noise at low frequencies and a low price, the 300W @ 4 ohms the amp will put into the cheap 12 will give him just that. And here's what kenwood says the sub does. Props to them for providing this on such a cheap sub.
