Default is it hard to install an amp?

just wondering if the process of installing an amp is possible for an average person. when i say average i have some experience such as replacing the sotck 6 1/2's and wiring my hardtop defroster... can someone please give me a broad step by step insrtuction on how to install one? im thinking of getting a two channel 50x2 amp to power my infinity's. BTW i am using my stock headunit...
Thanks

1. If your amp does not allow for speaker wire inputs then you will need a line adapter for RCA connections. If you need the adapter then you will have to connect your speaker wires to the line adapter and then connect RCA cables to the adapter and the amp.
2. Connect speaker wire outputs of amp to appropriate speakers.
3. Connect ground wire of amp to metal that is not painted.
4. Connect power wire on amp to battery(highly recommend in line fuse within 12" of battery).
5. Connect amp turn-on wire to accesory wire on radio.
6. Enjoy louder music.

It's pretty easy. I've never did a stereo install before and I was able to do it. It's the damn speaker wires that are a pain.
