Default Hardwiring 12V devices

Compared to my old car the S2k is lacking in 12V plugs. I have a sirius FM unit and a radar detector. Is there a kit or a writeup on how to tap a switched 12V line in order to power this stuff?

do a search for radar detector hardwire. it's very easy to tap in for 12v constant , 12 v ignition, or 12v headlights
it's under the dash, looks like a fuse box

You just don't know where to look. There are 3 empty spade connectors on the fuse panel for various types of power needs. There is one for power with ignition, one for constant power and one for power controlled by dash lights.

You probably had to tap into existing hot wires. Honda thought this over and gave us empty power taps. This is way better. The S2000 is not lacking in this area at all.

^^ I'm beginning to think that's the single most re-posted picture here. Clearly an invaluable contribution -- and, because I can never remember which is hot under what circumstances, it's useful in all its incarnations. HPH

Or you could "save as" and have it even when the site goes down.

Amazing. I love this car more and more each day. Very thoughtful of Honda.
