The FAQ is outdated. I just want something cheap and will be ipod and aux. control compatible. Any current models to recommend?

 

I would recommend the Alpine 9885. You can find them online for about $230. Ipod cable is $30. Modifry DCI and harness is bout $120. Total of $380. If you want to save a little bit more money, you can go with the 9883. Its very similar to the 9885 but the sceen is dot matrix.
