Default Head unit loose!

Okay I just took out my oem head unit and installed a Pioneer DEH-P7000BT. I got everything in but it won't sit flush. Am I missing some tabs? My OEM head unit seemed to be secure without any problems.

is it supposed to lock in or something? The wires are bunched up but what secures the head unit into place?

You have to unscrew and take the mounting brackets off the side of the OEM head unit and put them onto the Pioneer unit. Those are the things where the four screws you took off the OEM unit came from.

the normal process to take out an OEM ap1 radio, you remove the little vent/radio door, and then undo 4 screws, what did you have to do?
