Head unit and speaker question.
So I'm about to order my headunit and speakers, just wanted to see if anyone was running the same ones.
I really like the JVC KD-R80BT: $200, Does anyone know how far the knob sticks out? I still want to be able to close the radio door.
For speakers I was thinking these for the doors: JL Audio C-650x 6.5" coax speaker kit 1pair $170.
But I'm open to other speaker Ideas. I will no be using a sub, so i want good speakers. Later on I might do two more speakers behind the seats.

Wow... for what? Try reading a book and doing a little research on your own.
First of all its only been a day... so there is no reason for the smart ass comments... some of us have actual jobs and families that come before this forum. Even though you decided to post a jackass comment I'll still answer your questions.
The part number you have listed for the speakers doesn't seem to exist... So you need to correct that... I'm going to assume you meant JL C2-650x... since those can be purchased new for about $170
You're swapping out component speakers that are stock in the car for Coax speakers... that as we all know, is a bad idea. Maybe you didn't know that, but now you do. So pick out a set of components.
And last but not least, even if the speakers you're looking to install are the JL C2-650x... yeah those require 60 watts RMS of power to run properly.... that JVC headunit only outputs 20watts RMS... so the speakers will sound about as good as the stock ones... they will be slightly louder, but the sound will still suck.
I'll say it before and I'll say it again....
This is the order in which to install a proper sound system in a car 1 piece or so at a time:
HeadUnit
Door speakers + Amp (rewire the doors with proper sized speaker wire Buying a 5 channel amp is the way to go)
Sound deaden the doors
Add rear speakers + Amp (either another amp or just by a 4 or 5 channel amp at the beginning) No matter what anyone says rear speakers make a HUGE difference, if anyone says otherwise they have never gone from a car without them and directly to a car with them)
Sub + Amp (either another amp or just by a 4 or 5 channel amp at the beginning)
Sound deaden the trunk area
