headlight fogged up

Default headlight fogged up

hey, im not sure exactly how it happened but in my front left headlight it gets condensation inside it an gets fogged up sometime.. doesnt effect driving.. but it looks bad.. how can i go about fixing this

you will need to re-seal the light housing. Go to www.ricks2k.com and check out the instructions for the installation of the headlight diffusers. You need to remove the bumper, remove the headlight anchors, then remove the headlights. Bake them in the oven at ~225* for 15-20 minutes each. Take a knife (or something flat) and SLOWLY pry the housing open. Get some sealant from your local car parts shop. Apply a HEALTHY bead of sealant along the seam where they connect. Rubber band them together and place back in oven. Take it out every few minutes to push the pieces more together as the sealant softens.

This would be a good time to clear your corner diffusers (if you are into that).

You can also just drill a tiny hold in the bottom of the housing to allow the moisture to move freely without condensing, but I have not seen the results of this yet.
