Default Headlight issues YAY

Alrighty!

So I haven’t been home in 6 months and arrived to a headlight not illuminating.

Switched both bulbs to find that it wasn’t the bulb, replaced the fuses, can’t be the relay ...
...is the ballast the only thing that’s left that may be causing this issue. Ballast igniter looks new still.
I should note that the turn signal still works, although I believe the ballast may only power the HID.

Thoughts?

Hard to imagine that, both ballasts would brake down on the same time.
Faulty light switch?

Well imagine it! Cuz it was the ballast.

Lifespan of 15-20 years and mine died at 16 years of age.

Unfortunately finding an AP1 ballast is almost impossible unless u wanna pay Honda 900 big ones. Luckily had AP2 lights sitting around for years that I finally installed. All the tabs were broken on my AP1 lights anyway.... so whatever, forced to upgrade.

Bought the AP2 ballast that Dorman produces at Autozone with new igniter as well and voila kiddies, sparked right up.

Twas the ballast and that is all.

Mind elaborating as to WHY BOTH BALLASTS would go at the same time? Being that they’re 2 separate entities.....

....please.

...and again, I’ll add, it was 1 ballast that went after 6 months of not driving.

Happy that you fixed it!
I was probably confused because you changed "both" bulbs.
